Castaways Beach Bar is located almost half way along the beautiful white sands of Otres beach where you will find comfortable accommodation in our newly built economy beach bungalows or in our en-suite rooms in the main building.

Otres Beach 

Little known Otres Beach is the new kid on the block when it comes to eating and sleeping options in Sihanouk ville and is a welcome addition with its seemingly endless stretch of whitish sand and calm tides.

A wave of development has transformed this once barren coastline into a bustling seaside strip of similar eateries and repetitive bungalows, but what it lacks in originality, it more than makes up for in natural beauty. It is also the beach to make best use of its most valuable asset -- the beach -- as most accommodation is in the form of bungalows set directly on the sand .

Considered by many as Southeast Asia’s next top beach resort, Sihanouk ville attracts travelers from all over the world, especially those who are looking for a new beach destination with a lovely, unspoiled coastline that has not yet become overdeveloped.

Getting to us



On foot it takes around twenty minutes from Ochheuteal Beach along the ocean, or you can take a motorcycle (motodup). 

By car and tuk tuk it's possible, but the route is longer.

We are located approximately half way along the beach, between Ying Yang and Sunshine Cafe.

Book ahead using our reservation form and request a free pickup alternatively call ahead and speak to the proprietor Tom Jarvis.

If you're not staying overnight then it's best to leave before dark as there are no lights on the road (this could change very soon)

During low season Otres Beach is even quieter than the rest of Sihanouk ville and many places close up shop. This should change as Otres catches on so get it while you can.
 
With so few people, so much sand and the sprawling sea, this could be the deserted island you've been searching for and you don't even have to leave the mainland -- fancy that.
